Why CNN Inappropriately Hosted a Reality Show For The Cuomo Brothers

What a huge difference a year makes. In some ways it’s almost like nothing has really changed outside of the miraculous unleashing of lifesaving vaccines that are shamefully being allowed to waste away, due to the American culture of not giving a damn about your fellow humans.

But then there’s the saga of the Cuomo dynasty, and how it started off with the brilliance of sweet destiny, ordaining a father and son bond that extends into the energetic and unforgiving streets of New York City politics.

I was an American child with Nigerian-born parents, when we relocated from Kansas City to my home city of Lagos, a couple of years after the late Mario Cuomo was sworn in as Governor of New York. And by the time his eldest son and former Attorney General took office in 2011, I was a verified native New Yorker.

It’s hard to believe the crushing end to the skyrocketing popularity of Governor Andrew Cuomo that was ironically elevated by the tragic arrival of a deadly virus in early 2020, that swiftly brought the concrete jungle to its knees with a dire listing of “ground zero.”

Or maybe it’s not all that unexpected when you consider the glaring missteps stemming from the ballooned egos of two high-profile brothers, who got totally wasted on the blinding…
