Why Breonna Taylor Can’t Have Another Birthday

Breonna Taylor was murdered in her apartment by plain-clothed invaders also known as Louisville Metro Police, who were armed and ready to kill the occupants of the space they were invading in the early morning hours of March 13, 2020.

The cops brandished the lethal “no-knock warrant,” a controversial practice that gives law enforcement absolute power to burst open doors and force their way into targeted homes, if members of the household fail to comply.

The “no-knock warrant” is a common feature during drug raids, but it can also be a deadly tool of terrorism against innocent, unsuspecting residents like Breonna Taylor, who was mortally wounded that early morning from the 32 rounds of ammunition that were pumped into the darkness.

She was only 26-years-old at the time of her brutal killing, and her killers have not yet been held accountable for their crimes, in fact one of them is in the process of releasing his tell-all book of lies about the Breonna Taylor murder case, and how he’s been victimized by those who condemn the gross negligence that took the precious life of a young Black woman.

The anniversary of her tragic death at the hands of systemic violence and the ongoing injustice that serves as the threatening reminder of why the lives of Black women don’t matter has come and gone…
