There has been an avalanche of notable death announcements that seem to be hitting with ferocious frequency with the extra dose of melancholy in recognition of a festive season that’s anything but when you factor in the deadly arrival of a COVID variant with an ugly name.

Whenever a relatively young and vibrant superstar suddenly leaves this world under tragic circumstances, there’s usually a collective grieving that turns the landscape of social media into makeshift memorials, filled with scrapbooks visually celebrating the vibrancy of prominent lives well lived.

What also follows the collage of memories are the stern warnings urging the lucky ones who are still breathing to not take their fragile existence for granted.

Don’t waste a single moment on this earth because you never know when the grim reaper will drop by. Live each day as if it were your last. Stop putting off your dreams because time is of the essence. Don’t put off today what you may not be able to do tomorrow. Go for your dreams and live life to the fullest because you never know when it’ll all be over.
