The Racist Epitome of Trump’s State of The Union Address
When two members of the controversial and much-hyped “squad,” Alexander Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley, announced their decision not to attend this year’s State of the Union address, it wasn’t much of a surprise to those of us who can relate to their justified sentiments.
As women of color in Trump’s America both Ocasio-Cortez and Pressley have spent most of their time and energy since their historic entry into Congress, battling the infectious ire of an incompetent oaf and white nationalist, who publicly shamed four Congresswomen of color for daring to hold him accountable for his offensive messaging and crimes against humanity.
Remember the short-lived national uproar that commenced when Trump declared that the “squad” should return to their filthy, crime-infested, shithole countries, as punishment for speaking out against a roguish administration.
