Thanks for reading and for your response. The reason why it’s offensive is because as a White woman she’s in absolutely no position to comprehend what it truly means to be a Black person. There’s a level of responsibility that comes with being Black — especially when you’re vulnerable to circumstances beyond your control — simply based on skin complexion.

For a White people — it’s no big deal because your existence is vastly different from ours so you can’t possibly comprhend our point of view.

So — instead of trying to convince you — let’s just agree to disagree.
