I won’t deny that I still admire his trajectory and how his ascension definitely gave so many of us hope and pride in a country that often times felt like the enemy.

Compared to the current appalling state of affairs — I would say that we at least had someone who was dignified enough to keep the reputation of America securely intact.

But — no matter how flawless historical figures seem to be — there’s always the “big reveal” that leaves you breathless with disappointment. I know being in that position requires more than you can give and decisions that need to be made sometimes lead to awful consequences.

I am angry that he backed a dictator with a disastrous track record and he basically contributed to making a really bad situation worse and people who don’t know — need to know.
