I was where you are five years ago. I was stuck at a thankless corporate job that took 7 years of my life. It didn’t start off that way — I actually liked it when I first started — but then it evolved into a mess and I eventually left in the summer of 2013 to pursue writing — full time.

There have been many ups and downs and to cut a long story short — I discovered that the editorial world wasn’t at all what I envisioned. Being a full time writer is a huge risk in this present climate and even though I don’t want to harbor regrets — I would’ve probably accepted the offer at Bloomberg doing something that pays the bills while writing on the side — if I knew then what I know now.

But — what’s done is done. I hope you find a way to put your happiness first and do whatever it takes not to stay where you are for much longer. You deserve better!
