I think Mo’Nique’s reputation of being hard to work with stems from her unwillingness to settle for situations that don’t match her requirements.

Black male stars do it all the time and never get labeled “difficult” but when it’s a Black woman who is also not the template of Hollywood perfection, she’s automatically defamed.

I also think that Mo’Nique experienced something that’s hard to let go because it affects her livelihood.

She needs to be vindicated and I hope it happens.
