White males in America are holding us hostage. Nobody wants to address the crux of this national crisis that’s tragically getting out of hand — and this is because of the Whiteness of the murderers that are terrorizing this country.
“I think there is blame on both sides.” “You had a group on one side that was bad. You had a group on the other side that was also very violent. Nobody wants to say that. I’ll say it right now.”
Yeah. How valiant of him to go where nobody with a moral compass would dare to venture — especially when that person is in a position of absolute power — that should actually be utilized for the betterment of all citizens.
Condoning the destructive beliefs of White supremacy shouldn’t be permitted under any circumstances — and when the President of the United States is allowed the freedom to be vocally supportive of these principles — with zero consequences — you can be sure that his certified bigotry will ultimately breed a landscape of chaos.
Consider the anointing of a privileged White man who bullied his way to the presidency in the same way he’s bulldozed law-abiding residents out of their apartments in his hometown — all in the name of erecting another gold-plated skyscraper — that none of his trashy supporters in “middle-America” will ever be able to afford in their lifetime.
His Whiteness keeps him employed and offers him the ability to recklessly curse out his enemies on Twitter — while also advancing the progress of a movement that’s gathering momentum — thanks to a “world leader” who depended on that loyalty for the vote.
And now he honors the responsibility to enhance visibility by co-signing a deadly rhetoric — that’s currently destroying the lives of the downtrodden.
I’ve condemned neo-Nazis. I’ve condemned many different groups.” “Not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were white supremacists by any stretch.”
If they’re not neo-Nazis— who are they?
“These groups” of people who are committed to spreading their hatred through the barrel of guns — packages filled withe explosives or the tips of knives that have been sharpened to perfection — don’t seem like a crowd that grapples with the complexities of human nature as it pertains to methods of expression.
White men are killings us — and they’re doing so because they understand their rights and how it translates in their favor. They also feel entitled enough to push boundaries at the expense of the expendable.
Black lives don’t matter much — and so it makes sense to create a hero — who comes up with the brilliant plan to bomb the front steps of homes in a neighborhood where such a thing will surely garner the attention it deserves.
And since we’ve been repeatedly told by the media and experts who speak to the media — that White men who commit crimes — are mentally challenged beyond their control — we’re not allowed to view these terrorists as terrorists:
We can only acknowledge the safer bets — the faces that represent how it’s so easy to rely on the system of intolerance as the excuse for banishing animals — who don’t look American — in order to make a shithole — Great Again.
Omar Mateen and Rizwan Farook were both readily labeled terrorists — once their profiles were made public — and the nature of their terrible crimes were swiftly attached to their names and distributed.
Perpetrators who unleash bullets in open spaces and amass casualties should all be given the same treatment — but when it comes to White men — the recognition of their monstrosities is reduced to relatable human error — that grips the privilege of Whiteness in the same way that brutish characteristics are applied to non-Whites.
As we experience another deplorable act by a young White male who entered Santa Fe High School in Texas and proceeded to victoriously spray the classroom with bullets — this epidemic of “mentally-ill White men” who can’t overcome the temptation to terrorize — under the banner of potential fame and humane treatment from law enforcement — is evolving into the epitome of celebrated Whiteness.
Black people don’t have the privilege of being handled with care prior to their arrest — and in fact — the rulebook requires bodily harm that sometimes results in death (Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, etc). We are not assured a secured and delicate transfer from the scene of the crime to God knows where because we aren’t deemed worthy.
White men who kill — survive their crimes fully intact and without a scratch on their templates — with the exception of cowards who take the easy way out. They are given every opportunity to expand their operations — which is why more lives will be lost under this toxic administration
If the heroic efforts of James Shaw Jr. had been demonstrated by a young White male — Trump would’ve given him a reception at The White House. And the reason why the president remains silent about the shootings and bombings — carried out by men who resemble his hue — is because he’s reluctant to demonize White America.
But — maybe it’s time to make White America pay for the blissfulness of nonchalance and victimhood that protects them from stepping out of their cushioned shell — long enough to comprehend why their free ride has to abruptly end.
As a person of color — when you see a tweet like this:
You have to send a reply like this:
First off — it’s time for White people to stop referring to the N-word — in any capacity. You will never know what it’s like to be enslaved as consequence for your racial makeup. You have no concept of systemic assault based on the sheer pleasure of watching us writhe in pain — begging for lives — even as we know that we only have seconds to live. You won’t ever have to bury your child because he was inexplicably mistaken for a full grown adult wielding an object that may or may not be a weapon.
Based on the growing number of “likes” that disgusting tweet has amassed — we can assume that White men are comfortable in their supposed “victimhood” and reject the notion that they should actually be using their privilege to save lives — not encourage an already heightened climate.
Josh Denny’s offensive message is especially jarring when you realize that he’s got a huge platform — and a thriving career in media — which I’m certain he earned with the same hard work and dedication that tons of Black women like me execute without fail — and yet we can’t enjoy the same career trajectory.
He prefers to vent about how being a White male in America sucks ass — because of the horrific things men like him are producing with disturbing rapidity — instead of acknowledging the deaths of innocent Americans who are being eaten alive by the jaws of White supremacy — which he’s helping to sustain.
The servicing of White male fragility is proving to be a lethal practice — and while I’m not quite sure how to fix this mess — I can’t ignore the task of calling out White people — who only value the N-word when it feeds their shamelessly bloated ego — while validating their endless desire to overwhelm the narrative with blinding transparency.
