Fucker!

Dear LA Times, Charles Manson Wasn’t “Human,” He Was a Fucking Murderer

The most infuriating aspect of being a person of color in America — specifically a Black woman — is witnessing the audacity of White people — defending their privilege without any consideration for how this practice plays off as woefully biased.

But, that’s exactly why White people have the advantage when it comes to criminal behavior that either goes undetected or is given the supremeness of a pardon based on the trappings of human error.

Embattled rapper Meek Mills was recently sentenced to up to four years in prison for violating his probation — stemming from gun and drug possession charges that have haunted him since he was first convicted at the age of 19.

The Philadelphia-born Mills is now 30-years-old with the sad reality of being “stalked by the criminal justice for most of his adult life” — and as esteemed rapper and mogul Jay-Z so eloquently illustrated in his recent insightful op-ed for The New York Times — Black men can’t afford to minimally fuck up because once they’re caught by the system — their lives are basically hijacked for good.

The same sentiment is also applied to Black woman — who somehow escape the classification of being eaten alive by the societal rulebook that has been purposely rigged to jail Black people with the compulsion of negligence and hateful greed.

Sandra Bland was just 28-years-old when her life was snatched away from her after she was pulled over by a state trooper for a traffic violation in the summer of 2015. The incident was caught on video — and it included an exchange between Bland and the officer — who was clearly unable to contain his disdain for the Black woman who appeared to be highly intelligent and well aware of her rights as an American citizen.

The end result of that encounter is still hauntingly severe — as Bland was not only violently ejected from her vehicle and smashed into the concrete ground as a means to subdue her — but she was tossed in a county jail and left to rot.

There was no uproar from White feminists — only the maddened cries of Black women — who saw themselves in Bland. And as always the horror of what tomorrow can bring when you’re headed to work and have to contend with routine interruptions that turn deadly — continues to be a reality that we have to consider — daily.

Tamir Rice was only 12-years-old when he was shot in the stomach while playing in a neighborhood park with a toy gun. The officer who pulled the trigger swore that the young boy he killed was a grown ass man.

White people tend to do that. In their eyes Black teens are adults — while White teens are impossibly youthful with the playfulness of stealing cars for fun after a long mornings spent surfing the waves.

These instances are just the tip of the iceberg — and it’s mainly the problem of Black America — because White Americans are judged from a completely different spectrum. This is why it’s agonizingly annoying to witness how the American media cuddles criminals that are not Black with the shield of their privilege, which produces the humanizing effect that literally knows no bounds.

White men who kill with the vengefulness of authority are always presented with the disclaimer of their humanness based on their fragile mental state that ultimately causes them to react in ways that deviate from the norm.

When Stephen Paddock staged his frightful nightcap from a hotel room that he booked for the pleasure of securing a birds eye view of his impending massacre — he did an impeccable job — when you consider the number of lives that were lost. Yet, the headlines and the articles that followed mostly concentrated on the all-American White guy — who enjoyed a middle-class existence and apparently retired well enough to own properties — but that still wasn’t enough to keep him decent. Paddock’s brain is currently being prodded with studious intent by the staff at Stanford University — in an effort to determine why a normal White guy can suddenly become a national terrorist.

We thought that was the epitome of White privilege until the sadistic icon of all things hellish — Charles Manson passed away and suddenly his status was elevated to some messed up form of worship — as think pieces written with earnest by White men — vilely attempt to propel Manson’s mystique into the realm of humanistic assessment.

Let us be clear — this is purely a White thing. Only a White writer can come up with the inconceivable task of proving why Manson really isn’t the devil incarnate — based on the incredulous notion that demons don’t succumb to the vulnerability of death.

David L. Ulin — a former book critic for the Los Angeles Times — penned a jarringly offensive piece for the outlet where he clearly tried but failed to give a refreshingly enlightened spin on Manson’s horrific duration on earth.

There’s the mention of how Manson’s crime wave that basically solidified the cultural landscape of the sixties — barely registers with the current climate of “mass killings.”

“In a nation now grappling with mass killings one after another, the actual number of Manson’s victims seems almost minimal, even quaint.”

And as if that’s no bad enough — Ulin proceeds to insinuate that Manson’s long-awaited demise is somehow proof of his humanness, which should encourage those of us of sane mind and body to finally recognize that a racist bastard who departed this world with a swastika imprinted on his forehead — deserves to be embraced as one of our own — despite the inherent tendency to find such a thing revolting.

“Manson, though, was no devil but a human being, as his death makes clear. I don’t say that to soften or absolve him. But I don’t believe in demons; people are frightening enough. Indeed, to accept Manson as a person, to see him through the filter of his humanity, is to acknowledge what we resist: that he was perhaps not so utterly different from the rest of us.”

Clearly the author does believe in demons — if he’s willing to give Manson a pass for being human enough to die and thereby thwarting the theories that made him larger-than-life as his cult status became increasingly notable during his hey days. Now that Manson is no longer breathing — there’s even the concern for how to dispose of his body as the fear of his burial ground being transformed into a budding shrine looms ahead.

The disgusting LA Times article is just another nail in the coffin for those of us that observe the wiles of White America with thunderous anger and helpless frustration. The mere fact that an illustrious publication would even consider publishing an essay that offensively celebrates the legacy of an outright criminal — who never showed an ounce of remorse during his reign of terror — is the perfect way to sum up the reason why America is direly divided and under the ruling thumb of a White supremacist.

Charles Manson wasn’t human, he was a fucking murderer.

And anyone who doesn’t believe that is a fucking moron — and there are plenty of them — apparently. Here’s a hint: They’re all White.
