The second anniversary of #BringBackOurGirls is almost upon us.
And while I realize how disruptive it is to bring this up in the middle of serious stuff like nude selfies and the unrelenting tirades of crazy white men — it’s hard not to take a look back at how the symbol that represented sheer terror was modestly utilized.
