Absolutely! Temp-to-hire used to be the goal of employment agencies a decade ago. Companies were willing to hire temp workers — once they proved how valuable they were during the test period.

But, companies no longer want to spend the resources that come with permanent hires, and are instead delegating those responsibilities to agencies. Now the candidates communicate directly with placement agencies about health plans, career expectations, and other logistics.

It’s a messy mess out there.
